Complex cases require time to think

Not all clinical decisions should be made quickly.

We work in systems that reward efficiency.

But therapeutic work often requires something slower.

Some cases don’t need rapid intervention.
They need careful thinking.

Reflective supervision protects that space.

It allows us to:
• explore formulation properly
• identify blind spots
• hold uncertainty
• regulate our own responses

Sustainable practice isn’t built on speed.
It’s built on thoughtful reflection.

This is the foundation of the supervision circles I facilitate.
